Abstract
Bachelor thesis focuses on the spatial analysis of twenty Bronze Age hoards and thirteen hillforts located in the Mladá Boleslav district. Using the fifth-generation digital elevation model DMR5G and additional data layers (e.g., watercourses, alluvial sediments), the study examines terrain and spatial characteristics that may have influenced the placement of hoards and the construction of hillforts. The analysis works with parameters such as slope, aspect, distance from watercourses, and inter-visibility between hillforts. The results show that most of the analyzed hillforts are situated on gentle slopes with inclinations of approximately 5–10 degrees and within 100 to 1000 meters from the nearest watercourse. The slope orientation of hillforts tended to face north or southwest, while hoards were most often placed on north- or northeast-facing slopes. The fuzzy analysis confirmed that the selected factors can partially help predict other potentially suitable locations. The results provide relevant support for further archaeological research and cultural heritage protection.
