Abstract

The topic of tis diploma thesis is the diagnosis of the financial health of a company operating in the construction industry. It is good to perform business diagnostics because it can identify and evaluate upcoming problems or crises in advance. The main goal of this work is to analyze the financial health of the company and to propose recommendations for improvement in the event of deficiencies, using selected methods of business diagnostics. After implementing Porter's five forces analysis, find out how much bargaining power suppliers or customers have, how much threat substitution of products pose and what barriers must be overcomed when entering the industry. Furthermore, the indicators of financial analysis are used to evaluate the health of this company and selected property and income methods are used to determine the value of the company. The SWOT analysis then identified the company's strengths and weaknesses, its opportunities and threats. Finally, recommendations are provided for company to increase both profit and overall value for owners.
