Sanační malty pro vlhké a zasolené zdivo - tradiční a inovativní řešení

Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis deals with renovation mortars for damp and salt-laden masonry, focusing on both traditional and innovative material solutions. The thesis consists of a theoretical and an experimental part. The theoretical part describes the mechanisms of moisture and soluble salts in masonry and the principles of renovation plaster systems. In the experimental part, selected mortar mixtures were designed and tested as alternatives to renovation plasters using secondary raw materials; input materials were characterized, and tests on fresh and hardened mixtures, including their behavior in a salt-rich environment, were performed. The results were compared with a reference commercial renovation plaster and the requirements of the WTA 2-9-04/D guideline. The findings showed that even without fully meeting WTA requirements, the alternative mixtures achieved comparable performance in salt transport and accumulation, representing a functional approach to the remediation of damp and salt-laden masonry.
