Abstract

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the risks and insurance program of the selected business entity. The partial aim of the thesis is to confirm that the insurance program developed through the insurance broker covers most of the selected subject risks. Based on the theoretical background, the risk management and insurance risks of the business entity are explained. Further, insurance brokers, whose services are used by the selected business entity, are dealt with. The practical part of the thesis is focused on specific business entity dealing with an agricultural production. First, attention is paid to the specificity of agriculture and its differences from other business activities. Further, there is an analysis of the selected business entity risks provided; its actual insurance coverage of risk is described as well as insurance scope emphasizing agricultural insurance. Based on the analysis of insurance cases in the years 2008-2013 an evaluation of insurance program was provided; proposals for improvement were offered with emphasis on the efficiency of the agreed insurance and the use of the insurance broker service.
