Abstract

The objective of this thesis was to assemble a connection providing the transmission of real-time video from a mobile phone camera to the center with different input parameters via WiFi technology and with the use of common available devices. The evaluation of this transfer describes how different input parameters affect the overall properties of the transfer, measured parameters and also the overall subjective view of the transmission. The theoretical part of this thesis deals mainly with digital video, especially the explanation of basic concepts and description of the most common formats, which we can currently deal with. A separate chapter is devoted to description of software to convert between different video formats and codecs.
