Možnosti využití pyrolýzního procesu v oblasti zpracování vybraných druhů materiálů na jednotce Pyromatic

Abstract

The subject of this doctoral thesis is a concept and evaluation of pyrolysis process using the VŠB Technical University Ostrava pyrolysis equipment of the unique type. The specific feature of this equipment is the 3-way screw pyrolyzer. Since this pyrolyzer operation start-up the research was done on various materials like tires, HDPE and low-energy lignite coal. The changes and degradation of these materials and their relation to changes of adjusted technical process parameters were studied This thesis consists of the several mutually related sections. The first section deals with pyrolysis process and a brief evaluation of the specific features of the utilized equipment. The second part includes the results and analysis of the input materials and the output products. There is a summary of the pyrolysis gas products research and the results achieved during the several months lasting operational testing. This testing focused on the pyrolysis system features study and possibility of generation of the maximum delivery of gas products suitable for conversion to electric power. The final part of this thesis is focused on the future research possibility in the area of the tested materials co-pyrolysis. It also includes prediction of the pyrolysis products utilization effectiveness as well as participation of the combustible parts of the delivered pyrolysis gas products. Theoretical calculations and considerations are based on the real experimental results achieved during processing tests of the materials researched on the Pyromatic equipment.
