Abstract
This bachelor thesis is dedicated to the issue of slag emulsification into the melt during the tundish refinement of the steel on the device of continuous casting. The work is divided into two main parts. The first part of the bachelor thesis is dedicated to the basic theoretical principes of steel continuous casting, the role and technologies of tundish metallurgy and the issue of slag emulsification into molten steel during refining on secondary metallurgy. The second part is the analysis of worldwide literature in the field of minimizing the slag emulsification into molten steel during continuous casting. The literature analysis is focused in detail on the phenomena associated with slag emulsification during the transition periods, where the steel is transferred from the ladle to the tundish and also the possibility of minimizing the risk of slag entrainment into the steel meltting trough regulation and flow centrol with various technological elements. The aim of the presented bachelor thesis is above all the analysis of literature, which is focused on the possibilities and approaches that can eliminate the emulsification of slag into the molten steel during the tundish refining of steel and during secondary metallurgy treatment.
