Abstract
This bachelor’s thesis examines the issue of chemical response equipment used by volunteer fire departments. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the practical use of this equipment and, based on the data collected, to propose recommendations for their use, management, and procurement. The first part focuses on the legal framework of chemical response, its organization, and an overview of equipment, including its maintenance and record-keeping. The second part of the thesis presents a questionnaire survey conducted among selected units within the operational area of the Roztoky Fire Department, aimed at assessing actual priorities based on practical experience. Conclusions for determining procurement priorities are then drawn from both parts. The thesis concludes with a brief handbook focused on chemical service resources and is intended for new units.
