Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to describe and analyse the process of recruiting and selecting personnel in TMT Ltd., based on the information obtained. Eventually, in case of analysing challenges or drawbacks, recommending possible solutions and improvements in staff recruitment and selection field. The information was obtained during interviews with human resources officer and financial department executive along with thorough examining of internal materials and conducting individual analyses. The analyses are targeted on the efficiency of staff recruitment methods, leaving rate, stability index, the length of contract and the job interview success rates. Based on the methods used, the current system of staff recruitment and selection turned out to have good quality. In spite of this fact, several recommendations which may improve the current system had been proposed. These suggestions are related mainly to economic issues of recruiting new employees, recruiting personnel out of inner sources or to the application of work demonstration method on operative workforce. To conclude, the corporation is advised to strive for sustaining the low fluctuation and high stability rates which could be facilitated by investing more financial resources into primary searching of qualified workforce and enabling employees to advance professionally.
