Abstract
The aim of the thesis is evaluation of the strategy of manufacturing company. The thesis describes basic theoretical concepts such as strategy, environment of the company, production and strategic methods. According to predetermined rules, each method is applied in practice to the observed company. Part of the work is a basic description of the company and its subsidiaries. Used methods are PESTLE Analysis, Porter´s five forces model, method of strategic alternatives, GE matrix and financial analysis. Based on the results of these methods the company strategy is determined and specific procedures and analyses are proposed. The company can prepare strategy and other related documents following the provided procedures and analyses. Observed firm does not own the entire concept of strategy and this diploma work is the first to analyze the business from this point of view. The main finding is that the company is consistently profitable, using a manufacturing strategy that is appropriate to the nature and type of the enterprise. Proposed changes are meant to reach new markets, the introduction of a thorough financial analysis, document digitalization and more significant presentation of external company image.
