Abstract
The present study deals with the resistance of steels against hydrogen cracking and consists of two main parts. The first, theoretical, part describes the effects of metallurgical factors on hydrogen brittleness and the methodology of testing of the material resistance against hydrogen cracking. The practical part includes the examination of the resistance of spiral welded pipes of non-alloyed prime quality steel against hydrogen cracking and the metallographic evaluation.
