Abstract

The submitted work discusses the financial analysis of four Czech companies concerned with quarrying sand and gravel. The financial analysis should assess their financial health, solvency and the probability of bankruptcy. The theoretical part of the work describes the selected companies and explains the methods of the financial analysis. The practical part contains a one-dimensional financial analysis of all the companies, as well as a financial analysis of individual companies using differential indicators, vertical analysis, a solvency and bankruptcy model and a credibility index. A Spider Analysis and Kralick’s Quick Test are performed for inter-company comparison in the next part of the work. The final part of the work summarises the results of the analyses, their assessment and the prognosis for subsequent years.
