Abstract

This thesis deals with relay control replacement of linear semi-automatic welding machine by PLC controller. The theoretical part describes the basic features of PLC with HMI interfaces and stepper motors. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the solution of the problem through the use of WinProLadder and PMDesigner development environment on the part of PLC and Festo configuration tool used for the stepper motor control module. The aim of the thesis is to create a program for the PLC and the touch panel through which the welding machine operator will be able to define a linear semi-automatic welding process parameters for different products, and semi-automatically carry it out.
