Abstract

Diploma thesis on the topic Financial performance evaluation of the selected business company. The content of the theoretical part is a description of the importance of company performance, financial analysis, the issue of determining the cost of capital with an explanation of economic value added, including the application of pyramid decomposition of selected financial indicators. The practical part is focused on the financial analysis of a selected business company using horizontal-vertical analysis of statements and ratio analysis. Furthermore, financial performance is evaluated using aggregate models and economic added value. Subsequently, a pyramid decomposition of the EVA indicator and a comparison of the financial position of the selected business company with the industry is made.
