Abstract

This thesis deals with determination the reflectance of light from the typical clothing materials from the safety perspective of pedestrians and compares it with the reflectivity of reflective elements. It includes the directional characteristics of the reflected light made from different materials. The influence of the type of the using light source to reflectance has been investigated as well. Next this work solves a design and an optimization of the light guide or light splitters into automotive lightning with whom four separate light sources could be replaced with only one source and light guide. There is designed a prototype of such a light guide from plastic tube and deformation areas in the programme LightTools, which divides the luminous flux from one source into four parts. The large number of LEDs in automotive headlamps could be reduced by using this method and energy consumption and the need of encapsulation of each source separately could be reduced as well.
