Abstract
This diploma thesis deals with the optimization of the production technology of ribbed wire brand B500SP which is hot rolled with subsequent cold stretching by cold stretching technology on the KOCH line. It is mainly focused on the optimization of mechanical properties in relation to the requirements of standards which set minimum and maximum possible limits of ductility, yield strength and the ratio of yield strength to strength limit. There is investigated the Class C ribbed steel, a high strength steel wire with very high ductility. It means steel with a very good dynamic load resistance that is needed in the construction industry. The wire in coils is analyzed from the perspective of chemical composition, rolling temperatures and deformation after cold stretching.
