Abstract
The subject of the bachelor thesis is the design of a database to support marketing research in a company dealing with the sales of children's goods through an e-shop. First, business processes, marketing, marketing research and databases with special reference to relational databases are theoretically summarized. In the practical part, the company's internal information systems and processes are described and the specific process for which the database will be designed - marketing research - is selected. This is followed by a description of the proposed database and the implementation of a simple application beyond this database. Furthermore, marketing research of selected data samples and testing of simple hypotheses over these data is performed. Finally, the next steps to address this issue in the future are proposed.
