Úspěch a neúspěch korejských firem na zahraničních trzích: lekce pro budoucí expanzi

Abstract

Tato diplomová práce se věnuje komparativní analýze faktorů ovlivňujících působení jihokorejských korporací na zahraničních trzích se zaměřením na společnosti Samsung Electronics a Hyundai Motor Group. Hlavním cílem výzkumu je prozkoumat a porovnat odlišné strategické přístupy k budování odolnosti dodavatelských řetězců a mechanismy adaptace na specifická institucionální a kulturní prostředí v regionech Evropy a Asie. Práce je strukturována kolem tří výzkumných otázek, které se postupně zaměřují na vliv korejských kulturních determinant na stabilitu zahraničních operací, analýzu modelů logistické a technologické odolnosti a identifikaci bariér transferu korejských manažerských praktik do odlišných legislativních a socio-ekonomických systémů. Prostřednictvím hloubkových případových studií závodu Hyundai v Nošovicích a globálních aktivit společnosti Samsung práce konfrontuje teoretické koncepty jihokorejského managementu s reálnými výzvami globálního trhu, jako jsou střety s lokálním pracovním právem, požadavky na technologickou lokalizaci či potřeba transformace hierarchických struktur v éře digitální ekonomiky.

This master’s thesis presents a comparative analysis of the factors influencing the performance of South Korean corporations in foreign markets, focusing on Samsung Electronics and Hyundai Motor Group. The primary objective of the research is to examine and compare distinct strategic approaches to building supply chain resilience and the mechanisms for adapting to specific institutional and cultural environments in Europe and Asia. The study is structured around three research questions, focusing on the influence of Korean cultural determinants on the stability of foreign operations, the analysis of logistic and technological resilience models, and the identification of barriers to transferring Korean management practices into different legislative and socio-economic systems. Through in-depth case studies of the Hyundai plant in Nošovice and the global activities of Samsung, the thesis confronts theoretical South Korean management concepts with real-world global market challenges, such as conflicts with local labor laws, demands for technological localization, and the need to transform hierarchical structures in the era of the digital economy.
