Abstract

This diploma thesis addresses the issue of determining the effective jet length of hand-controlled branches. Describes theoretically different kinds of water streams and also some technical parameters of modern branches. The thesis is designed to test procedures for measuring the effective jet length. This procedure is based on established methodologies and the measurements taken. The actual practical measurement with a certain sample of branches used in the Czech Republic is to verify the accuracy of methods for determining the effective jet length of branches. Evaluation of measurement should bring mathematical dependence between water flow, pressure and effective jet length of water stream.
