Abstract

The object of this bachelor thesis is to characterize, describe and analyze the actual condition of the selected derelict industrial zone of Krnov textile with discussion about possible change and economic use. The framework procedure for the bachelor's thesis solution notes the selected terms related to the bachelor's thesis, like as abandoned industrial zone, brownfields. Selected methods that helped to solve the problem were the collection and study of brownfield’s problematics information, the local investigation of the interest zone, which took place in several pre-prepared visits, a questionnaire investigation of inhabitants. The research and the analysis of the environment revealed that the issue of this object is still not solved. Even though projects of grants were developed for the city about possible reconstruction and adaptation, the city continues to sell land in an industrial zone which is built on the outskirts of the city from high-quality farmland instead of paying attention to the revitalization of brownfields that spoil the image of the city. Based on these methods and comparison with some realized projects in our country and abroad was created own proposal for realization of recovery with possible methods of financial coverage partly made available from subsidies of European funds. Thanks to these studies, it has been shown that the permanent hesitation only deepens the problem and the most effective for economic returns is implementation of multifunctional use, such as business incubators, administration, leisure activities, science and technology, education and housing.
