Abstract
The aim of this master thesis is the analysis of location of small hydroelectric power station in a particular area, its economic and technological feasibility assessment and its environmental benefits for society. It discusses the various concepts in utilization of small potentials of hydropower and describes its individual components. The practical part is focused on analysis of basic economic indicators and assessment of environmental impacts. In conclusion of thesis are interpreted the results of evaluation and proposed actions aimed to improve the energy and environmental conditions of hydropower in the Czech Republic.
