Abstract
This doctoral dissertation thesis is devoted to problematic of employees’ appraisal and remuneration, as a strategic and integrated approach to insure organization’s success and by this achieving permanent competition advantage.
Main aim of this dissertation thesis is to analyze employees’ appraisal and remuneration system in selected manufacturing company and to propose recommendations for its improvement.
The dissertation thesis is divided into two main parts, theoretical-methodological part and application-verification part. The theoretical-methodological part firstly describes approaches and methods for researching given problematic of dissertation thesis, then theoretical basis of employees’ appraisal and remuneration are described in detail.
Application-verification part firstly characterizes current appraisal and remuneration system of employees at blue-collar and administration positions in selected organization, then based on analysis of researched problem and elaboration of information acquired by research, the changes in appraisal and performance remuneration systems for blue-collar workers with the emphasis on their mutual relation are proposed.
In this part of dissertation thesis methodology for creating competency models is also proposed, and then according to its base, competency models for selected managerial positions are proposed including proposal of appropriate methods for competencies’ appraisal. In the part of application-verification conclusion the verification is executed if proposed changes in employees’ appraisal and remuneration systems in given organization are feasible, then steps that should be taken in order to implement changes in employees appraisal and remuneration systems are recommended and benefits of implemented changes for selected organization are stated.
