Abstract

The aim of this bachelor’s thesis was to design and develop a database application in the Microsoft Access environment. The application will enable efficient management of business data and will simplify and speed up daily operations within the company. The thesis is divided into three main sections. The first section focuses on the theoretical foundations for developing a database application. The second part describes the current state of the business and the subsequent analysis of the café owner’s requirements for the subsequent design of the application. In the final section, the application itself was designed and subsequently developed based on the requirements identified in the analysis. The application includes records of inventory, products, suppliers, employees, shifts, and equipment. The resulting application contributes to simplifying administrative processes, reducing errors, and improving the overall efficiency of café operations management.
