Vliv kontaminace půdy mikroplasty na fyziologii rostlin

Abstract

This thesis investigates the effects of soil contamination by microplastics on plant physiology. The theoretical part reviews current knowledge on the occurrence of microplastics in soil and their impact on soil properties, organisms, and plants, including uptake mechanisms and effects on physiological processes such as photosynthesis and growth. The experimental part examines the influence of polyamide and polycarbonate microplastics on strawberry (Fragaria vesca) grown under controlled conditions. Plants were exposed to different concentrations of microplastics, and chlorophyll content was measured as an indicator of photosynthetic activity. The results showed no statistically significant effect of microplastics on chlorophyll content during the experimental period. However, the findings suggest that the impact of microplastics is complex highlighting the need for further research.
