Abstract

This thesis elaborates the analysis of the current state of the district-heating network and calculates the recovery of the investment project for the Veolia Energie ČR a.s. company. This project deals with the increase of capacity transmission of the district-heating system. The first part of the thesis introduces the company as an owner, explains the meaning of investment recovery and describes methods of the calculation of their return. Other chapters describe the types of heating systems and their division by heat-transfer agents. The following parts analyze the current state of this district heating network. In the following chapters it is calculated the increase of the transmission capacity after the realization of the investment project, its costs and increase of heat losts after realization of this project. On the basis of these facts it has been calculated the payback period and also mentioned possible business risks of this project.
