Štruktúra a determinanty miezd vo vybraných regiónoch Slovenskej republiky

Abstract

This bachelor thesis is aimed at factors which affect wages. In the first part of this thesis I introduce one of these factors – human capital. This chapter describes impact of human capital not just on wages, but also on quality of life, labour market and productivity. In the next chapter I write about some significant determinants of wages and their impact on wages. The last chapter is aimed at main goal, which is to find out which of the possible factors have impact on wage differences among specific regions of Slovak republic. To discover these differences in the third part I used descriptive and comparative analysis. In the end I summarised the impact of the observed factors on wage levels. The results obtained suggest that one of the most important factors affecting wages is education or in other words, human capital. High wage differences in valuation were also visible in the different sectors.
