Abstract
This thesis deals with the production of nanostructured titanium using rotary swaging. It talks about the production of titanium and its alloys and deals with its moulding. It divides commercially pure titanium into 4 basic grades and discusses their differences in both chemical and mechanical properties. Also analyzes the production of nanostructured titanium using SPD processes and also rotary swaging that do not belong into SPD processes. Finally, it discusses the mechanical properties of titanium after rotary swaging. Main interest is mainly in the yield strength and ultimate tensile strength. At the end compares the results of the experiment with the foreign literature.
