Abstract

The theme of this bachelor thesis is the analysis of competitiveness of hotel’s restaurant Janak restaurant & bar in the framework of the four-star hotels´ competitive setting in Ostrava. The aim of the dissertation is the assessment of the Janak restaurant & bar´s competitiveness followed by specific recommendations. Research method used for the analysis of competitiveness is mystery shopping, which objectively evaluates all competitors within the marketplace of four-star hotels in Ostrava and examines their accessibility, visual impact and quality of services provided. The work is divided into two main parts. The first one is focused on the selected marketplace, description of its key characteristics and introduction of the theoretical background of the research method. The second one is more practical and is dedicated to the analysis itself. In the end the thesis provides specific suggestions and recommendations aimed at the improvement of Janak restaurant & bar´s quality and competitiveness.
