Abstract

The subjekt of bachelor’s dissertation „Amphitheatre in guarry‟ is preparation of project documentation for construction work. The proposed building is located within the Arboretum Nový Dvůr in the village Stěbořice, which is part of the Silesian Museum. The project is based on previous urbanistic studies within the scope of Studio Work III and a detailed architectural study within the scope Studio Work IV. The aim of this proposal was to revive the neglected and forgotten quarry, which is although easily accessible, oriented and in a beautiful surrouding. The proposal amphitheater was based mainly on field modeling of the guarry and the surrounding countryside. Amphitheatre material corresponds with the surroundings, where the concrete structure is in harmony with quarry stone and wooden auditorium and the stage refers to the surrounding pine forests. The building not only serves as an outdoor amphitheater, but also as an restaurant and a gallery. The building would be linked with the rest of the arboretum via the footbridge which is not the subject of this work.
