Abstract

In my thesis, I focus on designing a new, optimal heating system for an existing family house. When designing, it is necessary to understand the building’s structural design, the occupants’ requirements, and, most importantly, the building’s heat loss. The theoretical section describes various modern heating methods, the building’s structural design, and the existing heating system. In the practical section, I focused on digitizing the actual condition of the family house so that I could subsequently calculate heat losses, based on which a new optimal heating system is then sought. In the final analysis, I compare the systems based on user requirements and the possibilities for utilizing the land and the family house.
