Abstract

The submitted thesis deals with issues of cooperation of municipalities in the form of voluntary associations of municipalities. The thesis is divided into the five chapters, the first is the introduction and the last one is conclusion.The second chapter is a theoretical part focuses on the forms and reasons for cooperation between municipalities and its legislative conditions in Czech Republic. The following section is devoted to a specific voluntary association of municipalities Mikroregion Krnovsko, contains its basic characteristics, activity and organizational aspects. The fourth chapter focuses on the activities and economy of Mikroregion Krnovsko, their evaluation and follow recommendations and suggestions.
