Abstract
This diploma thesis disserts on the theme analysis and modelling of bone structure features from X-ray and CT images. The theoretical part presents a search from professional articles deal with formation X-rays. Explains the principle of X-ray. CT and image bones with these methods. Practical part deals with the selection of a suitable algorithm, including its settings which allows automatically distinguish bone on RTG and CT images. By creating application with user interface where this algorithm is used and allows analysis and modelling of bone structures. Combined algorithm adaptive thresholding using active contours proved to be the most accurate algorithm for bone segmentation. Final application allows easy loading of various images formats, browsing files, automatic image pre-processing, segmentation, symptom analysis, set the segmentation sensitivity, manually select an area of interest and export all results. This application was used for the analysis of X-ray and CT images. The result is a comparative analysis of bone density symptoms for X-ray and CT images.
