Abstract

The presented bachelor thesis deals with the capacities of the Fire Rescue Unit of the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant and its readiness for emergency response in the nuclear power plant environment. In the first part of the thesis, the Czech legislation and its requirements for the company's Fire Brigade unit are presented, together with the safety instructions, which are in many respects decisive for nuclear installations to ensure the safety of operation. In the following parts, the technical, personnel and organisational arrangements of the Fire Rescue Service of the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant are described, as well as a brief description of the plant. The last part describes a specific emergency on the basis of which an evaluation of the capacities of the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant Fire Rescue Unit needed to cope with it is made.
