Abstract
This diploma thesis presents a case study regarding the optimization of the coal storage facility at the Tuzla Power Plant, located in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The primary focus is the transition from obsolete mechanized handling to an automated system employing a universal stacker-reclaimer machine. The thesis covers the entire process, ranging from a theoretical analysis of homogenization methods to an assessment of the previous technical solution and the comprehensive technical design of the new machine. Included are control calculations verifying the guaranteed output performance. The implementation of this project leads to enhanced combustion process efficiency, a reduction in operating costs, and the improvement of environmental parameters within the overall coal management system.
