Abstract

The content of the dissertation is architectural and process layout of a building of a former elementary school and its surroundings. The aim of the dissertation is reconstruction of the existing building and modification of its original use. The design of the project meets requirements for a functional, simple and clear layout. The whole project is in accordance with hygienic, esthetical, safety, structural and technical requirements. The proposal respects the most modern trends of building design. The dissertation provides a volume study in the range of documentation for planning. The project includes a financial balance sheet supplemented by photo documentation of the current situation and project visualization. The dissertation suggests two new options on how to make use of the building. The first variant is a proposal of a polyfunctional building for housing and administration. The second variant comprises a proposal of home for elderly people.
