Abstract

The subject of this thesis is to present Finland in terms of nature and its protection. The first part is dedicated to the physical geography, hydrography, flora and fauna. Historical overview outlines the image of the first people from Finland through Sweden and Russian domination until independence. The following is an introduction to conservation, origins, distribution and characteristics of individual programs. More is dedicated to the territories I have visited myself. In the end I evaluates the risks associated mainly with the protection of tourism, forestry economy and emissions performance and also international programs with which Finland cooperates.
