Abstract
This master's thesis deals with the analysis and comparison of work preferences, values, and attitudes of Generations X, Y, and Z in the current labor market. The main objective of the thesis is to propose specific strategic recommendations for effective management and motivation of these age groups to the employers of a specific organization, based on the conducted research. The theoretical part introduces the issue within the context of strategic human resource management and focuses on concepts such as age management, intergenerational cooperation, and the transformation of leadership styles. The analytical part is based on primary quantitative research conducted at Company XY. Data collection took place in the form of an online questionnaire survey among a sample of 272 respondents, with the obtained data subjected to statistical testing using Pearson's chi-square test. The research confirmed the existence of statistically significant differences, particularly in the area of professional loyalty (p = 0.00096), demands for feedback intensity, and preferences for the physical work environment. Based on these findings, a strategy of four priority pillars is formulated in the conclusion of the thesis, which includes the implementation of a system of professional micro-milestones, a platform for mutual learning, a personalized hybrid work model, and the digitalization of feedback tools. The proposed measures aim to strengthen talent retention and more effective knowledge transfer across generations in the IT sector.
