Abstract

This thesis describes the Social networks and their usage, especially from the perspective of firms and companies. Firstly, there are introduced the social networks and their history, then is the focus put on detail of the most famous, which are Facebook, Twitter, Google+, MySpace and LinkedIn. After this are described the specific ways of presenting individuals and companies on Facebook. As a practical example, the page of the leading telecommunication company on the social network Facebook, was chosen for the evaluation and the presentation. This thesis also shows the process how to create a company’s page on a social network, including the need to execute various types of analyzes in order to achieve the best results, which is meant attendance and success page. The last part is focused on users of social networks and their reactions on advertising on them. This chapter was prepared by using the questionnaire, which was presented to users, and based on their answers, the results were analyzed.
