Mzdový systém u vybraného zaměstnavatele

Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on the analysis and subsequent evaluation of the wage system of a selected employer, which is a public university. The university is located in the Czech Republic and carries out educational, scientific, innovative and other creative activities. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the legal and economic aspects of wages. It mainly describes labor-law relations, the legal protection and regulation of wages, the corporate wage system, the components of wages and employee benefits. The practical part is focused on the analysis of the wage system of the selected employer and contains a description of the organization, its employees, the internal regulatory framework of remuneration, the components of wages and the benefits. The employees were also divided into individual categories, these groups being academic, research and pedagogical staff and other employees of the public university. In order to achieve the aims of the bachelor thesis, both quantitative and qualitative methods were used. An analysis of the internal regulations and annual reports of the university was carried out, together with a questionnaire survey among 92 of its employees and two semi-structured interviews. Based on the resulting data, it was identified that the established wage system of the organization is well adapted to the activities of the university and is perceived positively by the majority of the respondents. The shortcomings are connected with the level of the basic wage component and the usefulness of some of the benefits. Based on the results, recommendations were also formulated, aiming at a slight and gradual increase in wage tariffs and at transferring funds from the unused benefits to more attractive ones.
