Abstract

This bachelor thesis examines the involvement of communities in the security readiness of the territory in the form of their readiness, information and subsequent resilience. The main goal is to analyze the current situation, including the subsequent solution, elimination or at least minimization of the consequences that threaten the safety of the population. Adequate information, awareness and education are important factors in the involvement of communities in the security readiness of the territory. Last but not least, the focus of communities, the resilience of communities and individuals. An important link between the preparedness and the bodies active in connection with the protection of the population is the assistance of non-governmental non-profit organizations in the form of volunteers. Their experience, knowledge and others are fully used in the involvement in the security preparedness of the area in case of emergencies and crisis situations.
