Abstract

This diploma thesis, entitled Protection of atmosphere in the administration territory of the Ostrava city is focused on actual issue of air pollution in the statutary City of Ostrava. It´s main objective is evaluation of emissions and air pollutants development in the city territory and enumeration of actions and trends which are designed for improvement o fair quality in Ostrava. The theoretical part deals primirily with the programs and documents that contribute to air polution in the Czech Republic. Also is this part focused on analysis of climate development in the city, an overwiev of the biggest polluters and impact of their activities on human health. In the practical part are more specific list of project already undertaken in order to reduce air pollution in the city territory. Those are projects realized in Ostrava city territory or projects implemented in cooperation of several universities, regions, or districts.
