Abstract

The aim of the graduation thesis: „Credit Analysis of the Company Severomoravské vodovody a kanalizace Ostrava a.s.,“ is the implementation of credit analysis or definition of creditworthiness. The credit analysis is an integral part of a loan proposal, which credit specialists drawn up in bank. Loan proposal has two parts – evaluation (analysis) of the client´s creditworthiness and evaluation (analysis) of risk and design (structure) of loan business. The creditworthiness of the client is determined with rating. A detailed description is devoted to external and internal ratings. The graduation thesis describes a simple model of the internal rating, which has two parts - financial rating (evaluates credit rating) and qualitative ratings (evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of the company). The example of Severomoravské vodovody a kanalizace Ostrava a.s. the rating applied this model to be subsequently compared with the rating granted by Moody's.
