Zhodnocení finanční gramotnosti žáků Střední školy ODRY ve školním roce 2025/2026

Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the level of financial literacy of pupils of a selected secondary school. The aim is to assess their knowledge, attitudes and practical skills through a two-round questionnaire survey carried out in the school year 2025/2026. The questionnaire survey is based on a combination of theoretical questions and numerical problems, with the results being compared between pupils of the first and third grades and between two locations of the school. Descriptive statistics and non-parametric tests (Mann–Whitney U test and McNemar test) are used to evaluate the data. Research shows that systematic teaching leads to a significant improvement in first-year pupils' results, while third-year pupils tend to stagnate. Although the overall level of financial literacy is assessed as satisfactory, the analysis reveals reserves especially in practical numeracy skills and long-term financial planning. Based on these findings, areas requiring further pedagogical support are identified.
