Abstract

This bachelor thesis is an overview of how the gas is stored and what are the types of underground reservoirs. Part of this is a brief overview of underground reservoirs in the Czech Republic. With a more detailed description of the underground reservoir in Háje near Příbram, which is the only functioning reservoir of its kind in the Czech Republic. It's about ways to store gas around the world, for example in salt caverns in Germany or in rock caverns in Norway.. For example, a project of a cavernous reservoir in India, which is used for oil storage and is closed by a concrete plug, is presented in this work. The technology of concrete plugs is also used to close the nuclear waste repositories.
