Abstract

Bachelor thesis „Acoustic Comfort in MRI Scanners and Possibilities of Its Improvement“ processes the acoustic noise generated by MRI scanners during the examination. It describes the physical principles of magnetic resonance imaging, specifies sources of generating acoustic noise and is devoted to the basics of acoustic. Next, the thesis contains hygienic limits for acoustic noise on workplace and maximum possible exposition to the particular acoustic noise levels. The objective of the thesis is acoustic noise level measurement, processing of measured data and their comparison with the data specified by manufacturer. Based on the measured data, possibilities of acoustic comfort improvement during the examination by magnetic resonance are designed.
