Lingvistické souhrny a jejich využití v Business Intelligence

Abstract

One of the key roles of Business Intelligence is to interpret data and the knowledge from it to support decision-making. Relationships and aggregated information explained linguistically using linguistic quantifiers are easily understood by Business Intelligence users. The aim of this thesis is to explore linguistic summaries and create a dashboard that extracts information from the data in a data warehouse and interprets it using short quantified natural language sentences. To achieve this goal, real process data from the supply and demand chain was used. The result of the work is a dashboard for logistics workers to easily find the root cause of inefficiencies in their processes using linguistic summaries. This was achieved through short quantified sentences that summarize the data and are able to reflect filters within the dimensions. As a result, the logistics worker is able to better understand the data using natural language sentences.
