Abstract

The diploma thesis, which expands the findings of the bachelor thesis, is dealing with the problems of mechanical properties and microstructure of polymeric composite materials with carbon and hybrid carbon-aramid reinforcement in the form of fabric. The theoretical part defines the various concepts, features and usage of selected types of composite materials. Especially, there is solved the problems of material based on carbon and aramid fibers, and also the result of combinations of those fibers, hybrid reinforcement, which is essential for the subsequent practical part. Main section is the practical part which deals with the execution of mechanical tests on handmade specimens and their subsequent evaluation in terms of behavior and microstructure of the material. The goal is to compare the obtained results of mechanical tests between single-species and hybrid composite in laboratory conditions.
