Abstract

These days telemetry, especially in the area of vehicles and service robotics, is more then only measurement and communication. The first task of telemetry is to measure all the essential physical properties of an object. The second task is the communication which ensures a data transfer. The third task of telemetry is the processing, presentation and visualization of the measured and transferred data. The location of the object and its position are very important for data post processing and interpretation, especially for the mobile robots and vehicles. Using the powerful GIS system the data visualization is more understandable for system operators and users in general. The use of the public accessible GIS systems or data resources such as Google Earth and similar local systems speeds up the development of the application and provides a wide range of scientists, technicians or other people with the measured data.
