Abstract
This Bachelor thesis examines change of mechanical properties of cold-drawn low carbon steel wires which passed through the process of natural ageing after recrystallization annealing. Values of ultimate tensile strength and yield point within 0-2000 hours after recrystallization annealing were measured by all conditions of experiment. Two production speeds on galvanizing line were specified meaning different time of annealing. Furthermore, the experiment also proceeded on four different wire diameters produced from the same input material. This thesis contains metallographic analyses from all important parts of given process as well. The results showed that changes of mechanical properties took place by all selected conditions owing to natural ageing. Entire experimental part of work was performed during full plant operation with creation of minimal amount of waste.
