Abstract

The subject of this thesis is the economic evaluation of reclamation of flotation waste reservoirs in Ostrava-Karviná District. The first part shows the currently valid technical and biological concepts of reclamation for three flotation waste reservoirs - Pilík III reservoir, Pilňok reservoir and Pohraniční kolonie reservoir. Next section evaluates the economics aspects not only for the reclamation of flotation waste reservoirs. Obligations of businessmen are discussed considering environment, further choosing the optimal manner of reclamation and individual sources of financing. The economic aspect of the reclamation of Pohraniční kolonie reservoir is the main subject of the last part. The budget of actual valid concept is shown here with other options, suggestions, potentially leading to more favorable economic results of this reclamation project.
